Colorful beet salad garnished with edible flowers and herbs, perfect for a healthy dining experience.

We’re proud to share that Myffy Rigby of Good Food has reviewed the Megalong Restaurant, awarding it 15.5 out of 20.

The review follows our six-course, farm-led tasting menu, from house-reared, slow-grown brisket to Jerusalem artichoke with smoky ricotta and Murray cod in a curry broth. Myffy praises chef Colin Barker’s precise, carefully considered cooking, set against the valley views from our homestead dining room.

What surprised her most was the non-alcoholic pairing, which Colin creates each week with restaurant manager Vincent Wigman. In her words, it “makes a strong case for ditching the wine list,” though she’s quick to add that the wine list holds its own, too.

Good Food reviews are booked anonymously and paid for independently, which makes this recognition all the more meaningful to our team.
